Public overview

Part superhero rivalry. Part romantic disaster.

With action, sexual tension, ridiculous chemistry, and two men who keep making each other’s lives significantly more complicated, Out of Uniform is being developed as an enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy with superhero spectacle wrapped around the relationship at its center.

The project is still early in development, so character names, powers, identities, deeper story details, and major relationship beats are intentionally not published here yet.

Tone

Cocky, sexy, chaotic — and still a romcom.

The rivalry gives the story its spark. The romantic comedy is the heart of it.

01

Romcom First

A fast, sexy, chaotic enemies-to-lovers romcom built around a superhero and villain who are supposed to be on opposite sides but have way too much chemistry for that to stay simple.

02

The Comedy

Cocky banter, flirting during fights, jealousy, ridiculous misunderstandings, showing off, accidental intimacy, bad timing, and two men who keep making every interaction more complicated than it needs to be.

03

The Heat

The attraction is obvious and physical. The flirting can be shameless, the jokes can be mature, and the tension can get heated — while the story stays focused on chemistry, comedy, and emotional payoff rather than shock value.

04

The Action

Superhero action should feel exciting on its own while also creating opportunities for character chemistry, comedy, rivalry, and the kind of proximity neither of them handles particularly well.

Main Character Dynamic

They fight like they’re flirting — and flirt like they’re trying to win.

Every confrontation becomes a mix of cocky one-liners, unnecessary proximity, showing off, pushing buttons, and pretending the tension isn’t completely mutual. Neither of them knows when to stop, both of them think they’re the one in control, and everyone around them is probably exhausted.

everybody else sees it ♡

Romance Rhythm

The audience gets to be in on the joke.

The relationship is designed so the people around them — and the audience — can see what is happening before the characters fully catch up.

01

He Realizes First

The hero is the first to recognize his feelings. He is surprised, but once he accepts it, he starts leaning into the flirting instead of running from it.

02

The Villain Gives Himself Away

The villain refuses to admit what is happening, even while his reactions make it increasingly obvious that the hero has gotten under his skin.

03

Everyone Else Already Knows

Friends, bystanders, and eventually the audience get to enjoy the gap between what these two claim is happening and what is very obviously happening.

04

Progress Feels Like an Event

Small shifts matter. When the villain finally starts giving some of that energy back, it should feel like a genuine romantic-comedy payoff rather than a sudden personality change.

Format & Expansion

Animation first, with room to grow.

Animated SeriesComics / WEBTOONFilms / SpecialsGamesMerchandiseOther Story Formats

The project is being developed first as an animated series, with long-term potential to expand into other formats if the characters and story naturally support it.

Still Becoming

This is a working public introduction, not the full blueprint.

Out of Uniform is still being developed. Character names, designs, powers, identities, detailed plot material, major relationship turns, and other unpublished development remain private while the project takes shape.
