Unsolicited Submissions

A clear boundary for creative submissions—so professional conversations can stay welcoming and protected.

Last updated: September 2026

Tell me who you are before you send me your entire cinematic universe ♡

Emma Rose Studio appreciates creative people and understands the excitement that comes with wanting to share an idea. To protect both Emma Rose Studio and the people who contact it, however, unsolicited creative submissions are not accepted unless specifically requested in writing.

What Counts as an Unsolicited Submission?

This includes scripts, screenplays, treatments, project bibles, pitch decks, story concepts, character concepts, original worlds, series or film ideas, game or comic concepts, artwork, design concepts, lore, written scenes, songs or lyrics, franchise concepts, merchandise concepts, and other original creative material.

Please do not send these materials through general contact forms, email, social media, Industry Access requests, or other public channels unless Emma Rose Studio has specifically invited you to do so.

Why This Policy Exists

Emma Rose Studio is continuously developing original stories, characters, worlds, concepts, and creative projects. Different creators can independently develop similar ideas, themes, characters, genres, settings, or concepts without ever having seen one another’s work. This policy helps reduce misunderstandings about where ideas came from and allows professional opportunities to be discussed without unintentionally receiving confidential creative material.

General Contact Is Still Welcome

You are welcome to contact Emma Rose Studio about professional collaboration, representation, producing, development partnerships, studio opportunities, employment or freelance opportunities, interviews, press, events, speaking opportunities, licensing inquiries, publishing opportunities, business partnerships, professional introductions, and questions about publicly available work.

The first contact should describe the opportunity or reason for reaching out rather than attach or disclose an unrequested original creative project.

Do Not Send Confidential Material

Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, please do not send confidential business information, proprietary concepts, unreleased intellectual property, trade secrets, protected client information, unpublished creative materials, sensitive personal information, or material subject to another party’s NDA or confidentiality obligation. General contact channels should be treated as non-confidential.

If You Send Material Anyway

If unsolicited creative material is sent despite this policy, Emma Rose Studio is under no obligation to review it, read it, open attachments, retain it, respond to it, provide feedback, return it, compensate the sender, or enter into a business relationship. Unsolicited material may be deleted or disregarded without review.

Submitting material does not create an agency, partnership, employment, producer, fiduciary, confidentiality, compensation, development, or response obligation.

Similarity Does Not Mean Copying

Because Emma Rose Studio develops a wide range of original work, there may already be projects, characters, settings, storylines, themes, visual ideas, names, concepts, or other material in development that resemble something later submitted by another person. Similarity alone does not establish copying. Independent creation, common themes, genre conventions, historical influences, public-domain material, shared cultural references, and coincidence can lead to overlapping ideas.

No Rights Are Granted Merely by Contacting Us

Simply contacting Emma Rose Studio does not transfer ownership of your work to Emma Rose Studio. You remain responsible for protecting your own intellectual property. If you voluntarily send unrequested material despite this policy, however, you should not assume that doing so creates confidentiality, compensation, exclusivity, or review obligations.

Requested Submissions Are Different

If Emma Rose Studio specifically requests creative material, separate terms may govern what can be submitted, how it may be reviewed, confidentiality expectations, ownership, permitted use, review limitations, deadlines, or other project-specific conditions. Those specific written terms will control where they directly conflict with this general policy.

Industry Access Is Not a Submission Portal

Industry Access exists primarily so approved professionals can review Emma Rose Studio materials. It should not be used to submit unrelated unsolicited creative projects unless Emma Rose Studio specifically requests them.

Collaboration Inquiries

If you believe your background, skills, company, or creative practice could be a good fit for collaboration, you are welcome to introduce yourself. A useful first message can include who you are, what you do, relevant experience, a portfolio or professional website, what kind of collaboration interests you, and why you think there may be alignment. You do not need to send your full unpublished project in the first message.

No Obligation to Review or Respond

No guarantee is made that every inquiry will be reviewed or answered. A lack of response should not be interpreted as acceptance, rejection, approval, endorsement, or agreement.

Protect Your Own Work

Creators are responsible for deciding how they want to protect their own intellectual property before sharing it publicly or professionally. Emma Rose Studio cannot provide legal advice about another creator’s copyright, trademark, contracts, registrations, or submission strategy.

Questions About This Policy
